Over the last 17 years, there has been a remarkable increase in scientific research concerning the long-term effects of a prolonged football career. This session will utilize case reports from former football players to illustrate key advances in the understanding of the physical and neurologic effects of a career in football in an engaging and interactive format. Data from these studies are potentially applicable beyond the football space, to those with other exposures including from athletic, military service, or exposure to repeated traumatic injuries including as a result of intimate partner violence.
