Post Traumatic Headache: The latest Insights, Innovations and Treatments

The last few years have been a boon for headache medicine with new insights and treatments, including a cadre of new drugs. While the U.S. food and drug administration has yet to approve a single drug for the treatment of post traumatic headache, physiatrists have always treated post traumatic headache with a variety of medications intended for other headache disorders. Many physiatrists don’t yet have familiarity with the newer treatments to implement them. This is an update on the recent scientific insights in post traumatic headache, including a summary of new pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments and how to implement them.
