This session will describe the work of an interdisciplinary team that developed a freely available, comprehensive educational document for caregivers of persons with disorders of consciousness (DOC). In this session, we will first summarize the goals of the project including the results of the initial focus groups that helped guide the development. Presenters will provide an overview of the content and organizational structure as well as describe the multi-staged process taken to critically review the material. Finally, and most importantly, we will provide physiatrists information about how to access the materials to provide to caregivers of those with DOC.
