John is a second year medical student at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans interested in applying Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for residency. He completed his Bachelor of Science in 2020 at the University of California, Irvine in Biology with am emphasis in Exercise Physiology. John is the current president of the PM&R interest group and the vice president of Medicine in Motion at LSUHSC - New Orleans.
John was one of eight medical students selected by the AAP to participate in their Rehabilitation Research Experience for Medical Students program. He worked in the Gait Rehabilitation and Motor Learning Lab at the University of Southern California where he completed an eight-week summer project investigating a novel paradigm to reduce gait asymmetry in older adults post-stroke under the guidance of Dr. Kristan Leech (PT, DPT, PhD).
