Dr. Michael Fredericson is Professor of PM&R at Stanford University and is currently Director of PM&R Sports Medicine in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Co-Director of the Stanford Center on Longevity, and a Principal Investigator in the Stanford Human Performance Lab. He is a Head Team Physician with the Stanford Sports Medicine Program and the Medical Director for Stanford Club Sports. He is also Founder and Director of the Stanford RunSafe Injury Prevention Clinic and has worked at both a national and international level with USA Track & Field and the United States Olympic Committee.
Dr. Fredericson has been a featured speaker at numerous national and international sports medicine and rehabilitation symposiums and Visiting Professor at many institutions around the country. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed articles, 40 book chapters and four books focused on an improved understanding and treatment strategies for overuse injuries in athletes.
