Surendra Barshikar, MD is an Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Univsersity of Texas at Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX.
He serves as the Medical Director of Rehabilitation clinics at UTSW and Parkland hospitals. He is double board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; and Brain Injury Medicine.
He is primarily involved in managing patients with neuro-rehab needs and brain injuries. He is also interested in spasticity management and lately have been a key player in implenting telemedicine in his clinics. Being in academic medicine, he is involved in teaching, mentoring, research along with patient care.
