Interventional Spine Medicine Fellow
Cleveland Clinic, Center for Spine Health
I'm Daniyal A. Bashir, MD and I'm a PGY-2 within the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Michigan State University/Sparrow Hospital. I grew up in Saginaw, MI after my family relocated from Rochester, NY where my father completed a Nephrology Fellowship. Although I have a great deal of respect and appreciation for the kidneys, I found the neuromusculoskeletal system to be exceptionally fascinating during medical school, and feel incredibly blessed to be back at my alma mater for residency. As an avid sports fan, growing up playing and watching sports year-round, I enjoyed my academic journey through the Lyman Briggs College at Michigan State University during undergrad, while also enjoying their athletic successes as a fan. Lately, if I'm not challenging myself with poster presentations, I spend my time by playing guitar, attempting to create delicious recipes, reading historical fiction, traveling and being mediocre at golf and snowboarding.
