Nick Race, MD, PhD is a PGY-4 resident at UPMC. His research in preclinical brain injury models aims to better understand, characterize, and target the neurophysiological and neurochemical effects of multimodal rehabilitation and pharmacological treatments utilized in brain injury patients to improve executive dysfunctions including impairments in attention, cognitive flexibility, socioemotional processing, and safety learning. He will complete a brain injury medicine fellowship at UPMC after completion of residency.
