Allison Bean, MD, PhD is an assistant professor and clinician-scientist at the University of Pittsburgh. She holds certification in PM&R and Sports Medicine. In her clinical practice, she specializes in the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnostic and interventional applications including administration of orthobiologics. Dr. Bean’s research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of musculoskeletal tissue injury and repair, using this knowledge to guide the development of novel regenerative rehabilitation therapies to improve physical function.
