Gillian Mathews is a fourth-year medical student who is passionate about promoting awareness of physiatry, and mentorship. She is currently serving as the Education and Wellbeing Representative on the AAP medical student council, where she has been working to promote awareness of physiatry through her #ThisIsPhysiatry podcast and social media initiative. During Physiatry'24, she will be a panelist on "The Medical Student Council Presents: The Power of Mentorship and Networking" and will host the Medical Student Quiz Bowl. Additionally, she also serves as an Education Co-Chair on the AOCPMR medical student council, where she has developed a curriculum of monthly lectures teaching medical students about physiatry.
