Memorial Sloan Kettering
Dr. Neal Rakesh is currently an Assistant Attending at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the Cancer Pain Division of the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. He specializes in interventional cancer pain management.
He completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biomedical engineering at the University of Michigan. He received his medical degree from New York Medical College and completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (Columbia University Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical Center). Subsequently, he completed his Interventional Pain Management Fellowship at the Tri-Institutional Pain Fellowship (Weill Cornell Medical Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and the Hospital for Special Surgery).
Dr. Rakesh is actively involved in multiple academic organizations including serving as the Board of Directors for the World Academy of Pain Medicine United. He is also the co-founder of Ultrasound Underground, which focuses on teaching residents and fellows about diagnostic and interventional ultrasound. Additionally, is the host of the pain podcast called The OuchCast.
