Brad Kurowski, MD, MS, Assistant Professor, Director Outpatient Head Injury Clinic, Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics, and Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, has subspecialty expertise in pediatric rehabilitaiton and brain injury medicine. His area of focus is neurorehabilitation. His research has concenterated on pediatric traumatic brain injury (TBI) in two broad areas: 1) better understanding individual, injury-related, and socio-environmental factors associated with recovery and 2) improving evidence-based management of pediatric TBI of all severities using novel treatment approaches and clinical trial design methodology. As a rehabilitation physician he is interested in how medical, behavioral, and physical therapy interventions, individually and in combination, can be used to facilitate recovery after brain injury and ohter neurologic disorders.
