Valerie Bresier is a fourth year medical student at Albany Medical College and currently serves as the Diversity Representative on the AAP Medical Student Council. Throughout her medical school experience, she has been a strong proponent of advocacy and mentoring students from underrepresented backgrounds. Her research interests include allyship in medicine, stroke disparities, language barriers, and diversity and inclusion in medical education. She plans to pursue a career in academic medicine to combine her passions of mentorship and research into her clinical practice.
