Kevin Franzese, DO is an assistant professor in the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Rehabilitation Institute. Dr. Franzese completed his residency training in PM&R at the Rusk Institute at the New York University School of Medicine and his fellowship training in Brain Injury Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (formerly the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago) at Northwestern University School of Medicine.
Dr. Franzese presently practices inpatient brain injury, stroke and neurological rehabilitation on a teaching service at UPMC Mercy and is a consultant at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. In his outpatient clinic he sees patients with concussions and more severe brain injuries, strokes and spasticity. His academic interests lie in acute care management of patients with severe traumatic brain injuries and in resident education and wellness.
