Dr. Helkowski is professor and vice chair for medical education in the UPMC Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She was appointed Residency Program Director in 2002. Dr. Helkowski is actively involved in graduate medical education at local and national levels. She is the Associate Designated Institutional Official for UPMC Medical Education.
