Lyn D. Weiss MD - Chairman
Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Lyn Weiss, M.D. became the inaugural Chairman of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at NYU Langone Hospital Long Island and the NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine (NYUGLISOM) on February 1, 2019. Prior to this, she was the Chairman and Director of Residency Training for the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Nassau University Medical Center. Dr. Weiss was also the Director of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and Chair of the Ethics committee. She is Board Certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Electrodiagnostic Medicine and in November 2018 was among the first group of professional to become Healthcare Ethics Consultant-Certified. Dr. Weiss is Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at NYUGLISOM. She has published numerous articles, book chapters and authored 10 books. She is active in professional organizations on a national level and is an active member of the Women in Academic Physiatry workgroup. Her professional interests include electrodiagnostic medicine, ethics, and women in medicine.
