Eric Wisotzky, MD, is the chief of the Division of Rehabilitation Medicine, PM&R residency program director, and the director of Cancer Rehabilitation at MedStar NRH. Dr. Wisotzky graduated from medical school at Albany Medical College and completed a transitional internship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He trained at the Navy Aerospace Medicine Institute in Pensacola, Florida, and graduated as a flight surgeon. He was then stationed for the next three years at Point Mugu, California, as a flight surgeon.
After completing his active duty time in the Navy, he started residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, the university hospital of Columbia and Cornell. Several months of this residency program included training in cancer rehabilitation at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Wisotzky served as chief resident.
Dr. Wisotzky's clinical interests include cancer rehabilitation and medical education. To support his medical education interests, Dr. Wisotzky has completed the Harvard Macy Program for Educators in Health Professions and the Essential Skills in Medical Education Course at the Association of Medical Education in Europe international meeting. Dr. Wisotzky is an Associate Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine. He also serves as an Associate Designated Institutional Official of the MedStar Health System GME Consortium.
