Dr. Grant received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas in Biological Sciences (B.A. with Honors). He then obtained his medical degree from Texas Tech University School of Medicine and received his residency training at Ohio State University, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has been in private practice for 38 years and currently limits his practice to Electrodiagnostic Medical Consultations. Dr Grant is a Past Chairman of the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM) and is a Past President of the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM). Dr. Grant is an Associate Professor in the Department of PM&R at the Ohio State University. Within the AANEM, he is currently a member of the Disciplinary, Finance, Nominating and EDX Lab Accreditation Committees. Dr. Grant has been the Secretary/Treasurer of the AANEM; Founding Chairman of the EDX Laboratory Accreditation Committee; and served on the Marketing Committee. He is currently on the Executive Committee, and is the Oregon State Liaison for the AANEM. He is the Advocacy Advisor for the AANEM. Dr. Grant is a member of the AAPM&R and has served on numerous committees within this organization. He is a Founding Board member of the Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports, and Occupational Rehabilitation (PASSOR). He is board certified by the American Board of PM&R (ABPM&R) and the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM). Dr. Grant has lectured extensively in the area of fraudulent and abusive EDX practices and how to identify and combat them. In this capacity he has worked with the FBI, OIG, CMS, multiple private medical insurers and state boards of medical examiners. He also has expertise in medical practice management and especially in developing and maintaining a successful EDX Medicine practice.
